Leading ceremonies for weddings, funerals, vow-renewal, and baby naming since 2014
My journey to becoming a civil celebrant took me some time.
An agnostic friend died from cancer in 2000, his funeral was the first “green” funeral I had experienced and it opened a door for me. Since then I have learnt about understanding the process of death, the rites and passage we, the living, need to bestow to allow us to grieve the passing of our loved one and to celebrate the life lived.
I have learned how to celebrate life events, weddings, vow renewals and baby naming.
I am married and have two sons and two grandchildren. Until my retirement I worked in the publishing and conferencing industries. I live with my husband in south Essex.
Using the skills I have acquired during my career, together with life skills, which we all learn along the way and training from an established celebrant. Coupled with an understanding that all families have individual needs and requirements I believe I can deliver a life embracing celebration of:
- a life lived,
- a partnership shared
- a time together celebrated
- the welcoming of a new family member
Will be special, crafted specifically for the people involved
Will be focused on the occasion
Will be focused on the people involved
Will have no rules structure
Will ensure the occasion is exactly what you and your family specifically require
